The disbanding was done in accordance with Executive Order (E.O.) 14217, “Commencing the Reduction of the Federal Bureaucracy.” The Notice does not request public comments.
A coalition wrote to the Secretary of Commerce in May expressing concerns about the termination of these advisory committees.
