The Census Counts campaign recently released a new Roadmap to 2030 Resource Guide, “a practical, action-oriented tool designed to help organizations, advocates, and local leaders prepare for the next decade of census engagement.”
The guide “focuses on turning lessons learned into clear strategies for impact,” including concrete steps that communities can take today “to shape equitable census outcomes in 2030,” “[p]roven approaches that prioritize historically undercounted populations and regions,” and recommendations for “strengthening local and state-level readiness.”
As Census Counts warned, “The lessons from 2020 are clear: preparing for the census cannot wait until the final years before the census.”
