Election data provider Decision Desk predicted that California will �lose 5 congressional districts in the 2030 reapportionment cycle� if current trends continue.�

The Golden State lost a seat in the last round of Congressional redistricting after the 2020 Census, but it still boasts the largest delegation in Congress. As the Decision Desk points out, �its historically fast-growing population� has �slowed or reversed� in recent years.

The Washington Free Beacon further noted that, �based on the Census Bureau’s 2022 numbers� California lost more than 138,000 residents last year. San Francisco lost 7.1 percent of its population.�
