Would-be Census Director Says Citizenship Question “Political”

In his first extensive interview since withdrawing from consideration by the Trump administration to be deputy director of the Census Bureau, after also being considered for director, Professor Thomas Brunell admitted that the imposition of a potential citizenship question on the 2020 Census was political. He asserted that the Trump citizenship decision was the rightful result of the 2018 election process!
